Interesting that feral cats are a problem in WI. First it was overpopulation of deer, then the deer went crazy, now there are too many cats. Maybe Vmom would change her mind if there were 40 or 50 rabid cats in her yard, and PETA was telling her she needed to pay for all the spaying and neutering.
That's because the deer was keeping cat population under control (cats don't like deer watching when they are having sex).
I'm sorry, but I agree with this guy. I have lived in a place with a bunch of cats running around and local animal control wouldn't do anything about it. If I wanted pets running around my house (and jumping on my car ) I'd have my own....and if it isn't someones pet then it really doesn't belong there.
It's OK to shoot coyotes, but not feral cats?
I grew up out in the country and there were some feral cats running loose. My mom was against shooting them....until her cat caught HIV from the feral cats and had to be put down. Then she was all about getting rid of them. She was the same with the skunks that lived on the property until she got spayed by one in the garage.

Mmmmmm... they look tasty!
Here's a couple of good recipes if you get tired of them...
Cat Sauce Picante
1 large wild or tamed cat (cut in 8 pieces)
2 Tbsp butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup diced bellpepper
1 Tbsp garlic
1 12oz can tomato paste
1 beef bouillion cube
2 cups beef or cat stock
1 cup all purpoose flour
1 Tbsp lemon
Melt butter in black iron pot then dredge cat pieces in the 2 cups of flour.
Brown cat good on all sides, next add onions, bellpeppers, garlic
and sautee stirring in the vegetables thoroughly.
Turn heat to medium low, cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Next melt beef cubes in hot water and add to beef or cat stock.
After simmering for 30 minutes add tomato paste and cook for 10 minutes,
stirring often.
Add remaining flour to the pot and stir in well. Cook for 5 minutes stirring very often.
Next pour your liquid in gradually until reaching thickness desired (gravy
should be like thick stew). Add salt, red and black pepper to taste.
I usually add 1/2 Tbsp of Worchstershire sauce
and three dashes af tabasco. Also add lemon.
Serve with steamed rice garnished with fresh chopped parsley.
Gramma's Cat Pie
3 cats
1 medium onion
5 rashers of un smoked bacon
2 cloves of garlic
fresh herbs (rough chop parsley, thyme, chives, to taste)
small glass of dry sherry
frozen short crust pastry (unless you can make your own better)!
seasoning
1/2 pint double cream
Clean and skin cats as usual,(you can reserve kidneys as garnish). Place in tray, whole and cover with bacon. Cook in moderate oven for about 15 mins.
Meanwhile sweat sliced onions and crushed garlic in a pan until soft. Add sherry and reduce. When cats are cooked, tear off as much meat as possible and add to pan with the bacon, choopped.Throw in herbs, add a little water if neccesary and cream. Roll out defrosted pastry about 1/4 inch thick and eggwash. Place cat mix in suitable pie dish and top with pastry. Cook in moderate oven until pastry golden.
Pan fry kidneys in a little butter and serve as garnish.
