Agreed, but he made it clear to them his insurance was changed and was just looking for a little help until he could have an appointment under his new insurance for submittal. Certainly they made a choice.... they could have helped him out and chose not to

My doctor in Cheeseland was always willing to help me out during insurance transitions. I usually had to sign a waiver saying if something bad happened to my eyes I couldn't sue him, but he still helped - including selling me a 6 month supply on a 18 month old prescription to tide me over until my new insurance kicked in.


Of course, I later found out my insurance sucks, so I don't even bother with it anymore. I end up paying like $5 less using my insurance.

I've never had a doc do that but I've also never had insurance issues either ...

My Dr. does it for me...I have daily disposables and get caught short w/o them sometimes...they always hook me up!

Its like the Curb Your Enthusiasm episode when Larry goes off in the Drs. office (we cant talki n here!!! why is no one talking ...they are not gods... surly they can help a patient out in need! If not time ot find a new Dr.

My company has health insurance after 90 days... dental and vision kick in after 1 full year.

Yeah. Vision is the one aspect of insurance I really need. Turns out that it's pathetic anyway - $35 for an exam and $40 for contacts per year. If I go to one of the 5 or 6 places that are covered, the exams are so much more expensive, it barely pays off.
