With summer right around the corner, Gene and I have decided to make an exception to the Business Casual Dress Policy. Beginning this Friday, May 5, and every Friday through Sept. 1, all employees and consultants have the option of wearing jeans or other denim apparel. All other Business Casual Dress guidelines will still apply, so be sure you're familiar with them if you're not already.

Appropriate Business Casual Clothes
Not sure if you picked appropriate business casual options? Go grab another cup of coffee, and follow these examples of excellent fashion sense.
Slacks, corduroy pants, khakis and capri pants
Casual shirts (with or without collars), golf shirts, sweaters and turtlenecks
Casual dresses, skirts, culottes/skorts (no more than 3 inches above the knees), or mid- length split skirts
Loafers, boots, flats, dress sandals, leather boat shoes
Casual socks or stockings or no socks (if it is appropriate for the rest of the outfit)
Sleeveless blouses, vests, shirts and/or dresses that cover the tops of shoulders.
Inappropriate Casual Clothes
Denim of any color (including jackets, pants, shirts, skirts and dresses)
*Temporarily suspended on Fridays from May 5-Sept.1, 2006
Shorts of any type
Sweatpants, sweatshirts, bib overalls, spandex, leggings or other form-fitting pants
T-shirts, shirts with offensive/derogatory or large lettering or logos, midriff tops, tank tops, halter tops,and tops with bare shoulders, unless worn under another blouse or jacket
Mini-skirts and spaghetti-strap dresses
Clothing that is too sheer, revealing or tight-fitting
Athletic shoes, sneakers, thong sandals and slippers
