The better product produced more efficiently will lower operating costs, allowing the price to drop on the open market.

THe government would not need to raise taxes to get its share, it would recover funds from income sales and income tax already in place.

People would rely less on the stock market, even though it would be on the rise again, and rely more heavily on their own savings.

The market anaylists could be more realistic with projections and not invoke stock dives due to missed profit expectations, because lets face it... a profit big or small, is still a profit.
