I'm an 18-year-old freshman at A&M, majoring in aerospace.
I love cars and anything that has anything to do with cars. I love cars and the driving experience.
I was a driving enthusiast ever since my first trike at 5. I rode the living hell out of that thing. At 7yrs I got my first kart and was tearing up the heats and finals at local indoor track events by 9yrs. At 11yrs, I was novice champion of a local indoor kart series (5hp B&S). At 13 my dad and I built an alky B&S kart from scratch. It topped out at 70+mph and handled like on rails. We took that to several kart "open events;" the shifter karts didn't know what hit them. When I was 15, I got the Monte SS and tuned it with a mild cam, 650 Holley carb, among other things. At 16, I started restoring my dad's old 240Z, by MYSELF (of course my dad helped me with the more-than-two-hands-needed jobs). Finished it in just over a year - almost new except for the non-OE engine, tranny, brakes/suspension.
I ride competitively in cross-country and some downhill mountain biking. I've been doing it as long as I can remember. For the last 4 years, I rode the MS150, finishing among the top 25 on my mountain bike. I have more bikes than you can count on both hands.
Now, my friends and I are working on converting an electric golf kart into a gas-powered monster. The rear axle is pulled from a Kawasaki Mule and the engine from a Jacobsen ride-on (~85hp Ford 1.1-liter inline-4). And it has brakes from a 1/2-ton Silverado.
My father is a doctor (and chief administrator of one of the big hospitals in Houston - $$$) and my mom is an RN. They're divorced, and I live with my mom (when not at school). My dad has 3 houses in Houston (and more in Cali and Chicago) and about 20 cars; his newest toy is an '04 E55 AMG.
My older brother goes to Northwestern and my younger is in 7th grade.
