So how do you control it? I'm assuming you use some sort of software?

kinda. it's a series of binaries given to me from the maker of the storage frames. all the commands are inline commands, meaning, the only cables hanging off my storage frames are the disk access cables. it doesn't get it's own IP address or anything fancy like that.
