Brocade holds a mojor portion of the fibre channel switch business for the entire world. They are the big dogs, and the company/technology that my old company went with. I am certified with their equipment, and all my scripts/programs I've written to help me run on their stuff.
McData was always the underdog. Arguably better stuff, but just didn't have the resources the giant Brocade did. BAC went with all McData stuff.
When BAC and MBNA merged, I was kinda left in the lurch. I had to learn McData's stuff, and start out on the switch team and a junior member (kinda)
All that changed this morning. I'm big dog once again, the SME, the go to guy for switch questions.
