parts wear out, plastic spacers decay over time. magnetic signature fade. all kinds of things can go wrong. optical data storage is preferred over magnetic anyday when we're talking multiple years.

also, if you consider carbonite, lemme know, i think you get a break if i refer you (i get something too)
ah, makes sense. but better that a drive is unused than used for wear/tear purposes, right?

yeah I will consider it, will weigh costs... though I always like getting newer bigger HDs

also.. you know those random spots on the map... like a mine or something. how to i get those or use them?.......

and what about neutral little fishing village... i couldn't seem to attack it and take over it or anything...

do any buildings give me revenue?? like a farm or something?... or is the only way to get money is to conquer other towns/cities?
it's been a looonnnng while, I think spots you see on the map are insignificant... it's about whether you have the territory or not

and then certain buildings boost your revenue, like ports if you have a waterfront territory. usually the waterfronts are the highest paying territories, unless there's some particular resource inland.

you'll figure it out as you play, it's just been too long for me to remember a lot of detail... www.gamefaqs.com will do a better job than me anyway
