yeah... that's cause the game doesn't run down the clock after you've run the ball. in madden, you can run the ball 15 times in a drive and have it take only like 1 minute off the clock. in real life, you would've run down at least 7-8 minutes.

i think fifa 06 has the best clock.... it's still 90 minutes but it's excelerated.... but at the end of the game/match... the scores are usually quite identical to a real life score... 3-2, 1-1, 2-1, 0-0, 5-3.... yada yada..... hardly ever score more then 5 goals..... but then again i play on a higher level too tho....

i'm sure if i played on amature i could score ike 15 goals...

 

that's what the accelerated clock option sort of did - it would run down the play clock automatically down to about 15 seconds after you ran the ball. I loved it when they added it, and now I'm pissed that they've taken it away.

Madden with 9-11 minute quarters and accelerated clock produced realistic results too. Sometimes I had games that ended 10-3, sometimes 42-30.
