Correct, all players go on waivers from the start of the games til the last game. I'm pretty sure it runs the claims on Tue morning at 1-2am.

After 8pm Tue, everyone is a free agent, those pickups do not use up your priority. So sometimes people "save" their waivers in case someone important gets hurt, but never end up using it. But other times it's very useful if an important guy gets hurt.

Remember that each transaction costs 50 cents, but you have 14 free moves before they start costing you (when you give $30, I give you credit for $37).

 

Oh and if you want like 2-3-4 pickups for some reason and you have a low priority (like 9-12th) then just run a waiver claim on all of them, and you don't have to worry about waiting for free agency.

There's a certain "freedom" in having a low priority because you can make all the pickups you want.
