I guess I should have said "I lost my last 4 pairs"

In the last 3 years I have lost 2 pairs of Raybans and 2 pairs of Oakleys, each of which cost close on 100 quid

That's why I always buy cheap sunglasses, I break/lose so many pairs, it's easier that way.
