You Aussies are great at improvising like that aren't you!!!!

I was in Darwin a number of years ago for the "Beer Can Regata".... racing boats made from empty beer cans in the sea. I was actually paddling one of them, it was big enough for about 8 people on it!!!!!

You wouldn't believe it James but that was actually on this weekend, they had all the footage on the news.

Some of the boats are fairly elaborate in design and construction too.

That would make sense because it was this time of year that I was in Aus for my trip........

It must have been 13 years ago (I was in Cairns for my 21st Birthday) so I guess that people would have developed their designs quite a lot in that time........

One of the best ones was an outrigger canoe with a crew of about 7-8 sitting well inside the main hull. Very sea worthy indeed.

Actually most of them are made out of VB so I'm guessing VB can's must have an advantage.
