OH! ANd hear I thought we got an *extra* hour this time of year , and then had to return it in the spring. This makes a little more sense now.

What does it matter? When the bartender throws me out, time to go home.

That can be pretty early if you get unruly.

Mmmmm "Apple Pie"

"Apple Pie"
(thanks to Sam, my supervisory counsellor when I was a counsellor at Bible Camp; who taught me this recipe)

Ingredients:
2 bottles of Martinelli's Apple Juice (the big ones)
2 bottles of Martinelli's Apple Cider
10 cinnamon sticks, in a bundle
1 Cup of Sugar
1 Fifth of Everclear

Pour the Apple Juice and Cider into a large pot. . . boil slowly up to a rolling boil. . . the longer your boil it, the more water boils off . After you've had it for a bit of a rolling boil (I used to go ~3 minutes), turn the heat off and throw in the bundle of cinnamon sticks, the sugar and the fifth of Everclear. Place in fridge immediately to cool down. . . leave in fridge overnight.

It tastes like apple pie filling. . . but it's definitely NOT apple pie filling.
