I am. I don't wear elf-ears to the films or anything, but I have read them all in the past (20-ish years), and have been re-reading them for some time. I bought a new copy of the silmarillian in anticipation of finishing off LOTR

Very . I've really enjoyed the movies. I think they've done a good job.

I could've done without the trees in the Two Towers, but mostly liked it.

Kinda long...

Like the books.

I thought the tree were well done. Maybe overdone. They are much more mysterious in the books. I'm afraid they went a little too much for the eye candy in the movies, and lost some of that dark, urgent, impending doom...... only some I think overall the movies are great, Strider is awesome, and they nailed the "look" I really enjoy them. I was lucky, my stepfather was a LOTR freak and he started reading them to me when I was very young, and it just stuck.....

So true, James. Yours was a much, much more expensive lesson (at least for insurance), James, but at least you were caught out doing some aggressive driving. My mistake was purely stupidity.
