So I'm driving down the feeder of the freeway and a Crossfire pulls out in front of me. It shouldn't have.
Of course, he was flooring it to get up to speed but I still had to break quite a bit.
Anyway, we do the u-turn thingy to get on the overpass. There are two 90deg turns to get onto the overpass. He takes the first one pretty quickly, but doesn't know the line (YES, there is a line!) and understeers a good amount. The second turn is a bit tricky. At the exit, you have a concrete median on the left-hand side so you don't have the option of apexing early (against the inner guardrail) and exiting early onto the main street. For a fast line, you have to apex real late so you can have a good line while still avoiding the outside curb.

btw, I did a lot of suspension tuning on these u-turns. I did the "clover" many, many times - each clover consists of 4 u-turns, and each u-turn is actually 2 corners. the car can't keep any secrets here cuz each corner is different, some with dirt, some with big bumps, some with crazy camber.

anyway, the crossfire must've been watching his mirrors more than the windshield. he comes in real hot and apexes super early (hugs the guardrail before even getting to the bit that turns). realizing his mistake, he goes back outside then cuts back in
yup, you guessed it, his rear end stepped out big time... so, of course he slams on the brakes!
spin spin spin went the crossfire, all the way into and over (or shuold i say through) the concrete median

i was tempted to stop and see if he was alright, but instead i just spun 'em through 3rd, hopefully kicking rocks all over his nice, shiny crossfire.
