Don't worry Martin, we have already covered the French Canadian thing
Peter, great story! Nothing to be embarassed about. It would seem that the "chosen" people have a long history of getting lost. Do 40 years in the desert ring a bell
Thank God for GPS!
James, I wanna know how close you are to being an Aussie
Hope you guys are having a rip-roaring day out there in tomorrow-land.

OK, let it be known... I really like Canada. In fact, I can't think of a part of Canada that I don't like.
Except for the indescriminate use of "eh" in my posts, you won't get any grief from me on this subject, John!

Okay, here goes with my life (or should I say pre-life
story......
In the late 60's my parents were going to emigrate to Australia. My mother is a nurse and she had a job arranged in a hospital in Perth. My father is an estate agent and was advised that he should have no problem getting a job once they had arrived, but that it was very difficult to arrange that kind of job from overseas.
Anyway, they had the house in England sold, they had found a house in Perth that they liked and could afford and had put a deposit on it. Then my mother went for her final medical before they left and the doctor said to her..... "you do realise that you will only be able to work for a few months before you have to go on maternity leave don't you!?".
Yup, she was pregnant with me and didn't know it!!!!
Well the long and the short of it was that they couldn't risk going, with 3 kids and another on the way, and hoping that my dad would get a job before my mum took maternity leave !!!!
So they stayed in good old blightey !!!
