Mom-

Get a composter and use it for food and paper waste and green and brown yard waste. You'll be doing Mother earth a favor. I've got to believe that landfill capacity is an issue in your area.

Use compost for sure. But *Don't* put meat in there.

I've composted for years and years and it's hugely successful. Best not to put milk products or pet poop in there either. Ash from wood is cool but not ash from other stuff like fake logs.

Make sure to put in grass clippings! Composts LOVE grass clippings.

After a while you get the hang of it and know when there's too much of one thing or another.

I wasnt the one who PUT the lettuce down the drain I was the one who cleaned out the clogged pipe Will consider making a compost bin though as my Dad the AMAZING Gardener that he is has done for years
