Drove a Boxster at the weekend ......
SMGII is essentially BMW's version of clutch paddleless manual transmission, I think (i.e., there's a clutch, but it's computer controlled). I suppose some people would say it's clutched automatic transmission.
It's also offered by two other companies that I know of. Ferrari and Toyota (MR2). Though most people aren't very impressed with Toyota's implementation.

Oh, Charlie, you just sent me over the edge.
Now, if you can get that key, get it into the ignition, and drive that sucker out of there - free is the best price I've found yet!

I can't believe it, I just found another dealer in Chicago that has an '02 for almost the exact same price as the Boston dealer - and she's sold quite a few to s2ki members ... although the shipping isn't really that much different. I tell you, if anyone's in the market for a new car, the out-of-state deals are amazing!!
Okay, Chaz, but you can touch it. Just make sure you use some antibacterial wipes beforehand
I'm sure the thing is covered with fingerprints anyway being in the showroom. I only hope some gross person didn't let a big fart in the seat
