(That's a name from the Hunger Games books/movies, which might be a play on pita, but is most certainly a new/unique name... but since its spell similar to Peter, the a-hole writers would probably say the author ripped it off from the Bible).

Uhh... I'm going to say this is CRAP based on semantics of what a pet is. Entirely possible that there's some sort of symbiotic relationship between them, which doesn't mean it's a pet.
