I'm kinda pissed right now... a local fellow board member had told me he could get me OEM brake pads for $35 a set. So I PM'd him last week and said I was ready to buy them, but I needed them by Thursday (since Buttonwillow was on Friday).
So he says, no problem, can you come pick them up? I wasn't able to do that, so I said, can I just charge them over the phone and you can send them? He said sure - never said "Oh BTW, it's gonna be like DOUBLE because I have to run your credit card and pay for Fed Ex."
So I get the pads, they are manufactured by Sumitomo, who I guess does the S2000 brake pads for Honda. Then I check my credit card statement and the charge is for $80!!!
He says, "well I tried to save you some money, but with the credit card, I had to charge tax, and then the shipping costs alot, too."
I told him that was so lame, I could have just driven over to the freakin' Honda dealer and bought a set for $46. What a dork.
I'm still waiting to see what he has to say.
