Mom, great story. I don't burn on my property, but I could. I'd have to contact the town's fire department to get permission, and I think they limit the total number of planned burns on any given day (not sure). Of course, I live in a town with 7000 people, so we probably wouldn't have a problem with that!
In general, I think it's a great idea to burn yard waste and get rid of it that way. I have to watch out for people who are ignorant of poison ivy though, because that can be hugely dangerous.

We used to burn all the time. Part of living in the country I guess. Seems like there was always brush or tree limbs that needed to be taken care of. There was no garbage service either so we would seperate the burnables from the other trash.
Had to separate out the hemp, though, eh Luke! :)!
Come to think of it, leaving it in would make the burn a little more fun, wouldn't it??
