Fecking Ken!

In my case, unfortunately, this error is in the gov't's favor. Makes it all the more infuriating as now I have to do extra work in order to pay them more! :arrrrrrrrgh!:
that sucks...

OK, so 100 years ago there was no income tax in the US. Talk about being born in the wrong century...

Meh - it's not so much that I pay income taxes, inasmuch as that I only see $.15 for every dollar I give them.

The Swedes pay 60%, but see $.85 back on every dollar.

Allowing that we have a real military, can I at least get $.35? $.45?

Some random hooey I read years ago. If I remember, it was quality and availability of civic services, welfare, etc., but also what percentage is skimmed for "administrative costs." The number I believe was also surmised based upon, "average" dollar given back to the "average" Swede.

Quid pro quo aside; The Swedes (along with several other folks) not only demand transparency in their government, but officials consider "transparency" a virtue.

I've got a buddy that takes the government's buget, and divides on a per dollar basis. Next year, I'll it up.
