Wow girl, that's a lot of money. I won't complain about my situation! Just turned her in today and got a 06' Chevy Impala in exchange. Not an S2000, but better than a Cavalier.

Did you get teh SS, JaBobby?

Thanks all for the  s

I'm not even sure how much of a hassle it would be to bring an engine across the border...I'm so tired of thinking about this.

No, it's just an LS but even with the 6 cyl. engine, it's got a lot of punch. That's about the only redeeming quality though. Grabby brakes, uncomfortable seats, a "lurchy" engine at low speeds and boring styling has done little to renew my faith in the General.

Update #1: Tried to start the car this morning. It turns over, but it won't start.

Update #2: I drove past the "scene of the crime" on the way to work - I think it was actually a beaver that I hit. I just saw the flat tail...I'll take another look on my way home today.
Are you sure the tail wasn't just flat because you ran over it?

I'm pretty sure. I don't think that I actually ran over it - just hit it. The rest of the animal was intact and it was all brown - no markings of any kind. Didn't look even close to being a raccoon.

I just read the rest of the thread. $14k?? I'm surprised a racoon is able to cause that much damage to a car...

I hope it gets fixed soon...

I guess the beaver caused the radiator to leak, and the radiator leaking caused the engine to overheat?
