I tried playing NHL 2004, and have come to the conclusion it's the worst EA sports hockey game since NHL 99. For a game that gets re-released every year, it has regressed considerably since NHL 97, which I considered the best of the series.

I was watching the gamecast for the Devils/Lightning game, and was just about to celebrate a Devils victory, when it updated at 19:55 of the 3rd (5 seconds before the game ended) and Tampa had tied it. They then won in Overtime.
