His stand up routines are pretty good (at least what I've seen). He doesn't translate well into movies because

1) He's black
2) His comedy is mostly observational
3) He's black

Not being racist... just my view of it.

I remember one of his funny quotes in the early years of the Williams sisters.

He was talking about their success at Wimbeldon and how they were to meet in the finals and he said "I haven't seen that many white girls get beat since Rick James" <or something close to that>

That was hilarious.
