'K. Here's the big deal to me. Virtually every (maybe *every*) woman who's ever driven in the pros has been a moving chicane. A hack. Freakshow material (Look a WOMAN driving a race car).
Danica is showing she's a driver. Not the best by a long shot. But she's running with the 'good' drivers. She came in tied for 11th in her first year. That's not bad.
How does this end up like I'm promoting her as the greatest? 'cuz I'm not.

She got 11th because she's an attractive woman who is a decent driver (at the top levels). A male driver of equal or greater talent would not have gotten the quality ride she got, which she got because of what she is and not what she can do.
I'd like to see her run NASCAR where there's 20 or more drivers and cars that are truly top notch. She'd be a backmarker in NASCAR regardless of what team she was on. I don't want to discredit her (too much
) but she's not all she's cracked up to be, IMO.

How the feck did she get 11th because she's attractive."Hey guys move over and let her by... she's a babe!" C'mon. She got WAY too much press because she's a cutey (I found it irritating) but her results have to do with driving.
She was the 11th best driver on the circuit this year. Period. OTOH K Legge would kick her ass.

In the pro ranks, self-promotion and the ability to garner sponsorship have a higher impact on results than does raw talent. Many women have driven for me over the years, most of them moderately talented drivers. Lynn St. James, however, was very accomplished at finding sponsors. Didn't make up for her ability to wad up a car, though.
Legge has phenomenal driving talent. If she can find the money, she could beat Danica in any series.
