Too bad for Jack Tripper, he had a new show that was starting to get popular. I think I'm going around and giving everyone Jack Tripper hugs

Well I agree R B and Mom's not a big Country Music fan but My Aunt is and when I was a kid my Cousin and I were torchered by her havin to listen to it in the car When we of course would rather of been listnin to the bubble gum pop as we were quite young. So I do know a few of his tunes I did rather like "Boy named Sue" anyway it is sad to hear he's gone but his talent touched alot of people so thats the good thing that his family will remember!

Mr.Ritter was just WAY TOO YOUNG to be leavin us and he also brought ALOT of laughter to people! I think that he definatly will be missed!

When A Boy Named Sue was popular, I was living on the beach in Marina del Rey and dating a lady named Sue. My best friend and next door neighbor, Bob, was dating a lady named Donna. Sue and Donna didn't get along, to put it mildly. Also, Donna was a real loudmouth. I used to do A Boy Named Sue all the time and Donna started calling me Sue. Sue and I would be in my bedroom at night, ahem, doing whatever, and Bob and Sue, who were real nightowls, would be walking by. Bob would plink a rock off my bedroom window (2nd floor) and Donna would holler at the top of her lungs (you had to have heard this voice to understand, it could wake the dead) "Hey, Sue, wake up." My Sue would holler out the window "What?" Donna would holler back "Not you, the other Sue." My Sue would holler back "There is no other Sue, you asshole." Donna would holler back " you, I wasn't talking to you." By now it's 3 AM and the entire neighborhood is awake -- again! I'd think to myself "God it's starting again. They almost came to blows a couple of times and once the cops came. I kept telling Bob "Stop plinking rocks off my window, you asshole. You know it just gets them started. One of these nights we're all going to end up in jaul.

OMG...I didn't realize they both died last night!!!

Cash was an icon. He was not just a country music star...he was a presence.

Ritter...well...he was one of my favorite physical comedians of all times. Over the years he was able to make even horrible roles entertaining...and the good ones were out of this world funny!
