Gotta go... got to catch a plane.
We had a lightening storm in NJ. Lots of fun for me since I love them and miss them since moving to the west. They are rare in the Bay Area.
I used to have a job related to them they were so common back in Ontario. My job was to reduce the damage they caused to our CPUs. Fun job.

Definitely hear you on that, John.
I'm trying to get my kids to enjoy the lightning, but my wife is turning them into weenies
I guess I relished my experience in the bay area for lack of extreme weather. Having my Fiat's top down for months at a time in Oct - Feb also had appeal
Truth is that I didn't live there long enough to get tired of it and miss the east. We moved back here to start our family for various practical concerns, none of which seem relevant at the moment.
There's an owner up in Marin, VinceD, who has me totally jealous. He lives up in Lucas country -- access to Muir woods, GG bridge, wine country... What can I say... Better top-down territory simply doesn't exist
Tallyho.
