the hardtop is expensive, at that point it might make sense to upgrade to a more expesive class of car. but it kinda makes the car look like a classy euro coupe, as long as it doesn't look miata-like

so the principal reason one would remove the windshield frame tape is so the colored paint below would match the color of the factory hard top. i have the tape on now and maybe it protects the frame but if moisture is gonna get underneath and it's gonna rust then maybe i should take it off

but i drive so much i'd probably get rid of the car before it'd start rusting, so i can debate it either way
