Well, verify the addy and # are correct, then let the games begin

A new use for hybrid cars was discovered during the midwest blackout this summer. They can be used as generators! In fact, that's going to be one of the marketing points for the new GM Hybrid pickup. So....

1) get a hybrid car with an AC outlet.
2) at minimum, a 100 ft. industrial heavy-duty extension cord
3) 3mil thk. 55 gallon garbage bag
4) oxyacetylene welder
5) paper clip, large
6) duct tape

Insert paperclip into female end of ext. cord. Fill garbage bag with oxyacetylene, heavy on the oxygen. Don't smoke while you're doing this, btw. Insert paperclipped end of ext. cord into gas-filled bag, seal with duct tape. At the crime scene, place bag below bedroom window (or under porch, etc). Extend cord fully, then plug into RUNNING hybrid vehicle. Drive away while reeling in ext. cord after ensuing loud noise.

Big boom, only some little bits of burned bag left as evidence. Not that I know anything about how this works...

True story...

12hrs of Sebring, March of '87 I was working at Roush Racing as a crew chief on one of our IMSA GTO Mustangs. The race ends at 11 pm on Saturday night, and the spectators have been partying like it was Mardi Gras and Spring Break combined.

We finally get the truck loaded with 3 cars, spares, etc and are ready to head home, but we can't get out because someone's motorhome is blocking us in. The police never did figure out what blew out the windshield on the motorhome A nice breeze had blown away the scraps of plastic bag...
