Guinness' New Shoes...almost
The reason I bought my old Jeep Wrangler was that I needed something to help distract me through a bad spot in a relationship (and eventual breakup). The Miata was my consolation prize when my last relationship blew up in my face.
Just like I spent my energy turning the Jeep into the essence of what I felt a Jeep should be (go anywhere, do anything offroader) I am doing much the same with the Miata by focusing on keeping weight down while maximizing the use of whatever power I can get the tiny mill to churn out.
Though I wish that the cards had fallen in such a way that I could be driving an S, I am actually happy that I went the direction that I did, because I can afford even more of the modifications I want on a tight budget...and more mods means more distraction from things I don't want to deal with...

the way things are going, I'm gonna have a helluva S by next spring
and dream about the next mod for Guinness...
