Don't forget, for Live you need a broadband connection. The cheapest/easiest is to connect the Xbox directly to a wired router.

yep, you need high speed internet, zdave, and a router.

the wireless routers work really well. I use linksys.

So, you really need 2 pieces of hardware. A wireless linksys router ($59 to $79 depending on which arhcitecture you get -- I suggest the newest .11g) and a linksys game adapter (either $59 or $79, I don't remember which).

You can connect your xbox directly to a hard wired router which is also connected to your computer. Just use a standard RC45 jack. You only need one piece of hardward for this. But then you need a computer in the same room as your XBOX and TV. Some have that but many do not.

Hope that clears it up. If not dave, call me.

dude the two six ought ought is still the bizzie in da hizzie. I've heard of people selling them to game fans (read freaks) for like $100 on ebay.

Seriously, the start up costs for XBOX live is sorta high if you don't already have the console. But, you will be glad you did it. I actually got mine for Christmas 2 years ago. thought I would never play it. Man, that present has provided hours of entertainment.

I used to have the 2600, Intellivision and C64.

Talk about old skool.

I do plan on getting the xbox soon.
