NikeP... you raise a great point! What is the first *real* multiplayer game (not 2 or 4 on a console but linking)? Goldeneye?

 

first real multiplayer is Doom... but that was on the PC

 

Goldeneye was an FPS on the N64. I missed out on the Doom/Quake era. On the PC I play mostly RTSs.

 

doom on PC was great... and all on modems!!!

Got the game at midnight, played all day Wed because i didn't have classes, and i don't have any tomorrow either. I'm getting X-BOX LIVE within the next couple of days.
