Happy 5th Anniversary to GLOOB!
No bowing, please. Just send money.
And go on blaming me; everyone else does.
I like C++, Mike, unlike *many* of my cohorts, and I have actually used it in device driver and filter driver programming inside of Windows drivers (not all of its features, but certainly the object-oriented ones). I've never used it for Linux work.
Everything we do at the OS level in my company is in C, though. Makes sense to me, though I've always believed that the language should fit the task at hand. The folks who do the application software that front-ends our systems is all in Java. I'm clueless in that space, though I suppose I'd learn it if I had a reason.
Best wishes.
