That reminds me of our Mt. Baldy run. 20 cars, lots of people. Afterward, we ate at the Buco de Beppo restaurant. They tried to put us in a bunch of adjoining booths. I said," don't you have a big room. If it isn't being used (it wasn't), we want it -- now." We got it. They a few of us went to the bar to get drinks. The bartender said 'I'll be taking drink orders from your group in a minute", as he was washing glasses. I said, "No, we're going to sit down at this bar and you are going to serve us drinks now and I want a double Jack Daniels on the rocks -- now." He did. Sometimes, you just have to get forceful with these people.
