Yeah...you'd be suprised to see how much of it goes on Charlie. Mucho porn...I was shocked by who some of the biggest offenders were too.

It's mainly for liability, but cutting down uneeded bandwidth also lowers T1 costs.

I could lift the restrictions on myself, but I don't want to risk it. I take work very seriously when it comes to that stuff. Hey...I can always play at home.

Luke, it's CRAZY who some of the offenders in a company are, isn't it?!?! I actually knew of a senior VP level guy that actually used to receive porn in e-mails from friends at work.

His admin used to have access to his e-mail and she went through the roof in shock when it happened!!!

Yep...I could name a few very high profile people. Just crazy that they would risk their career for it.

Well, you can't blame someone if a friend sends them porn, can ya'? But, if they're out there surfin' around for it, that's really another story.

Anyway, I'm against this kind of monitoring. It's unfortunate that it's deemed necessary.

I agree with you 100% Charlie. To me it should be another management issue, like playing solitare during your shift.

We never officially monitored it at my last job...this was just stuff we stumbled across when we were shutting down the company and backing up computers...

My last company didn't filter much of anything. I guess it's all a matter of corporate culture...
