Car and Driver did a head-to-head comparo: Porsche Carrera S vs. C7 Stingray. Corvette won. Then they took away the value points given Corvette because the Porsche cost TWICE AS MUCH. Corvette still won.

The problem is that the C7 is faster by a wide margin than every 911 except the GT3 and Turbo, at 1/2 to 2/3 the cost. The 911 is still a better car in some ways, but that price premium is pretty tough to swallow if you're not into the Porsche "experience" (e.g. assholes at the dealership, assholes when you get the car serviced, having everyone on the road assume you're an asshole).

test drove Cayman S a few months ago b/c I wanted to trade in the Civic. the salesman was trying to convince me that it is a better car than the 360. It is a fine car but I don't think it's better than the 360 (Just IMO of course).... Then my brother gave me the S2000 back so no new Cayman for me (or any new car for that matter).
