Happy Father's Day to all the dads and a soon-to-be-dad!

What my dad has given me...My dad encouraged me to think critically and to be independent. He's always trusted me to make my own decisions and has been there unconditionally for me when I've screwed up.

I am fortunate enough to see my father tomorrow morning then my "dad" tomorrow night. Over the next few months I'll be at a NHRA race, a NASCAR event, an Indy event and an ALMS with my dad....not to mention a handful of other events (including one that may be sending me to Prague for 5 days for some bonding time with my father)

The support I have received and the life lessons I have learned are invaluable to me. He's been critical of my decisions and disapproved of my actions but let me make the mistakes on my own and learn from them. He's also the one that first thought buying an S2000 was a good idea. Had it not been for the first car, I probably would not have ever joined s2ki. He probably regrets it now though

Father hasn't been driving since he travels so much. Dad is the one with the C5.

Happy Father's Day, dads! Mrs. Raptor is in DC with her girlfriends, so I'm alone on Father's Day, except for Molly and FloJo, of course. I'm taking myself to Cameron's Seafood for Sunday brunch.
