Happy Memorial Day!

Remember the fallen. My Uncle George, who I was named after, died at Tarawa. He was in a foxhole with his Marine buddies. The Japanese threw a grenade in the foxhole. He fell on it and saved the others. Every Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Veterans Day I hang a big American Flag in front of our garage door. It was draped on my father's coffin and given to me when he was buried. I've been doing this since we moved into our house in 1981.....until today. I can't climb up a ladder with my ankle.

RB is there someone who can hang the flag up for you?
I have a family member who was in WWI. Before the war, he had a girlfriend and when he returned they planned to marry. Unfortunately he came back "shell shocked" (PTSD) and never did marry.
My uncle is retired from the air force. He used to be a mechanic for the Snowbirds (similar to your Blue Angels).

Here ya go RB >
They're not my Blue Angels. The Blue Angels are Navy. The Thunderbirds are Air Force. Oh, you mean Canada's snowbirds vs. America's Blue Angels. Sometimes I take this stuff too personally. I was an F4 Phantom pilot in the Air Force.
