came in this tread since the Dago
are both in it
so I was curious if either of them @zeroptzero or @robb have ever played Bocce Ball? I thought it was originated in Italy as many of my olskool Italian Uncles used to play at the Italian Picnic when I was a child.... but I see some different answers as in Egypt and other places
anywhoooo I know the Dago's seem to have adapted it into their gatherings etc....
we did an area of DG in the new yard and will be making a Bocce Ball course ( NOT OFFICIAL SIZE ) as they say its like 60 feet long
but also read that in your own yard you can make it what ever you wish or works
We'll see how it looks and can adapt it if need to. I still don't know the rules yet and was just curious if you two play or have played?

Hey Mom, oh yeah I have played it quite a few times in the past. My father played it quite a bit as I grew up. We have a couple of Italian clubs in my hometown and they had bocce ball courts there. The ones here are made out of chips and dust material. I'd say they were about 50-60 feet long , give or take. If I recall some bocce balls were like a stone material, some others were metallic. But yeah I have played it for sure.
yeah my Uncle tried to get my
's to play when they were lil & we were at one of those picnics

pressure treated wood is heavy.I painted all boards pre construction as I do not like the color of pressure treated wood
I will show you guys when all done, gonna cap the tops to have a clean look to it, we had doubled up the 2X6 's for the frame.
On the look out now for some old Italian DUDES to come test it out
