Hey. Does anyone want to hear me sing?
excellent! are you playing the music as well? Piano, harmonica, guitar & synth? Do you record on a pc? or in a studio? I use Calkwalk for guitar. which is just passable. Maybe when I get to know you all better I will be bold and share too.
Thank you very much.
New York State of Mind (Bflat)
Brian: Piano
John: Vocals
Billy Joel sang this in the seventies as he got older he sang in Bflat. I like it that way. Bryan and I usually end up playing this whenever we play and there's a piano around.
Wheat Kings
Bryan: Guitar, Keyboard.
John: Lead Vocals, background vocals
This song is by The Tragically Hip, Canada's biggest selling band of all times... but virtually ununknown here in the US.
I sing lead and harmony, Bryan knocks 'em dead with guitar and electric piano.
One of my personal favourites.
Hasn't Hit Me Yet*
Bryan: Guitar, organ, background vocals
John: Lead vocals, guitar.
Another Canadian band Blue Rodeo sings this. Not my favourite harmonica solo but Bry made me do it.
Both of us playing guitar and Bryan playing organ (I love the B2 solo).
Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)*
Bryan: Guitar
John: Vocals and harmonica
Fun Green Day song. That's it... just a fun song. Bryan egged me on to play in the harmonica bit so I did but it's not my best work... I'd like a do-over.
New York State of Mind (duet)*
Bryan put this together and I like it. Bryan merged in his track to make this a duet.
We recorded in Bryan's home studio which is a PC based 32 track but a whole lot of other gear. He now has a roommate with a full studio in their house. (I mean FULL studio)
I'm fairly easy to get to know and really enjoy other people's music.
