But we're favored by 3.

All Pac-10 games are tough ones, George. It ain't easy being in the strongest conference in Division I-A.

Bill-

Those tall receivers scare me to death. By the way, what time are going to be in front of Bovard before the Cal game? I'll definitely be there.

George-

I have a show that day, so I probably won't make it till gametime. But my group (Bill, Rhys, friends Alan & Julie and their two kids, and a spectator to be named later) will probably be their early. I'll check and get back to you.

As for the receivers, tall only helps if they don't butter their fingers the way the Beavers did last Saturday. I cannot believe how many passes they dropped.

Oregon should kick Arizona's butt. I'm fine, busy. How about you, Brian?

Luke-

I have to work tomorrow, grinding out reports until the USC game at 4. Then we're off to the Montrose Oktoberfest -- German beer, bratwurst with hot German mustard, German potato salad, and saurkraut, bands, people in costumes, a weenie dog contest -- a real hoot. Sunday is up in the air.

George,

It's really hot, even down here by the beach. Really weird weather we've been having the past few days.

Should be a good game. The SC D should really be tested.
