As for the site...and the Corner in particular...I think that the reason that discourse has deteriorated in society as much as it has because so many people are so entirely dissociative about it. For some reason being on the web is a license to act in a way that one would never consider acting in person.

I for one, pride myself on being very much myself online. Some may like this...some may not...but I can pretty much assure you that I would act the same way towards these people if I were face to face in these conversations...

Including telling James to shut up from time to time...
