Actually, he lives in Bellevue, but he makes his fortune in Redmond and Kirkland, predominantly.

I actually ran into him in the hallway at an old job. His investment guy works out of a nondescript office in Kirkland where my company was based. I was walking down the hall reading something and so was the guy coming towards me. We literally bumped into each other.

It was Bill Gates.

Had almost the same thing happen with Craig McCaw in the same building.
