My reputation as a moderately un-jerk-like person is diminishing, because I want to kick the ever-living crap out of whoever suggested that people PM me asking for a badge or what to do about a badge. 
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy feeling important and appreciated as much as the next person, but the badging requirements in the Corner are now and have always been quite simple and in NO way require PMing me to learn them.
Here they are...the "rules":
FIGURE IT OUT!!
I know...I know...this is pretty self-explanatory, but I'll explain it anyway. Figure it out means...well...figure it out. Ask questions. Get laughed at and mocked. Do searches. Read about others getting laughed at and mocked. Stick around. Get laughed at and mocked some more. After many seemingly fruitless searches and quests for knowledge, eventually give up on ever getting a badge.
Then...and ONLY then...will you have finally achieved the near nirvana state required to accept the fact that you still don't have a badge.
If you're one of the lucky few...after going through all of that...you MIGHT end up with a badge.
Or not...

Perhaps the person that DID suggest it was "mocking" you in some way as you suggested has happend to you in the past. This is an assumption on my part, as you HAVE the badge and the requirement FOR said badge is public ridicule according to your own "rules."
Perhaps a grain of salt is in your future, so you could take it with this.
