Default Horrendous winds in La Crescenta last night.

We were without power ifor over 10 hours. We had a fence blow over and a big brick wall collapse. My front lawn is wearing half the national forest. My next door neighbors' big pine tree came down and buckled a neighbor's garage roof. My next door neighbor on the other side had a big steel beam from God know's where in his driveway. Plus, it is trash day and there's garbage, yard waste, and recyclables everywhere.

Everybody keeps saying "Oh, the air is so clear. No smog." I have to remind them that this air is THE most unhealthful we can breathe in LA because of the high concentration of totally suspended particulates, particularly PM10, which is 10 microns or less in diameter, roughly the diameter of human hair, and can penetrate all layers of lung tissue.
