yeah I've been doing that a lot lately in recent years, from one project to another. I may take a break for now, I like the extra garage space and winter will be on the way in a few months.

I just removed 20 year old carpet from my basement, the last part of the home to renovate. It sits on a concrete floor, I think we are going back to carpet rather than laminate to keep that warm feel down there.

I just gotta say I've done that many times with my job and find that removing the tack strips can even be more of a P.I.T.A than pulling the carpet.

Yeah they are a pain too. Our carpet is berber so if you don't cut it perfectly you get all of these runs that you need to cut as you are pulling it. I've got a good carpet knife but you never get all of the threads cut 100% so you get runs. Pulling the pad now. I will leave the rest for the professionals once the pad is out.

I just......always cut them into about 4 foot sections, same with the pad. Nice you don't have to remove the strips.

I just brought up my booze collection from the basement. It has been in storage for a few years and we are going to create a small bar in our redecorated basement. While doing many roadtrips through the US I collected some nice bottles , quite a few bourbons, and Jack Daniels stuff. I like collecting booze, but I really don't drink it. I might give a few bottles away as it is more than I would drink in a lifetime. I just had a shot of Patron Silver with lemonade and feeling tipsy already, lol.
