I just despise group work, especially at a distance.

I just want to say, a lot of the members were posting here before the advent of social media, so this in essence was our only social media outlet. This site used to be very active, lots of threads about modifying the car, aftermarket bits, tech insights, etc. I've got 41k posts (not as excessive as some) but that amounts to 7 posts per day.

I'll just also add that the off topic areas (such as the corner) were for people to post...a lot...about nothing in particular, it creates camaraderie and in most cases a friendship with some really great people.

I just gotta agree. If you look back at some of my posts (see the Corner Races ) they are meaningless. But like Sam said, a camaraderie developed in the absence of social media. I first "met" several people here 15+ years ago and have had the good fortune to spend time in person with lots of them over the years

This forum is the "Seinfeld" of S2ki, the forum about nothing, lol. Maybe that is what attracted me here, it took me about 10 years though.

The only reason I ended up here immediately was because my friend/roomie at the time (aka @vtecmom 's #1 LG lesismor ) had an S and spent a lot of time in The Corner. Otherwise I probably would've been too scared.

Oh and I just applied for a small grant to put together gratitude packages for the staff of the local transition house.
