Save some of the dough to make elephant ears. Fry them in hot oil for about 20-30 seconds each size and sprinkle sugar/ cinnamon sugar/ drizzle with honey or have some jam/jelly to dip them into.
All you need per ear is about a quarter coin size piece and just stretch that out.

Oh that sounds delicious, fried dough is so good. I have to watch eating fried food though , it is hard on my stomach, and I've cut back fried food years ago.

Tonight we ended up making four pizzas for the three of us. My son's was a meat lover's pizza. My wife and I like Margherita style. And I made one bakery style pizza to eat later one. The bakery style pizza just has tomato paste, with a good sprinkle of oregano, and grated parmesan cheese. It is best eaten at a later time and cold, it turned out really well.

I love those, in Rhode Island they call them pizza strips, I grew up eating them. Hard to find them in other places most people have never heard of them.

yeah we call them bakery style pizza because you typically find them in Italian bakeries. They use their extra bread dough and make slabs of square pizzas, very simple toppings, but full of flavour. We never eat them hot, always room temperature, even if they are a couple days old they still taste good. We don't usually eat them as a meal, just a side dish or snack, maybe accompany it a salad, or some olives or cured meats etc. I have not had them for a few years but I just made them for the first time at home and I really enjoyed it along with my family.
