Surprisingly efficient process.

 

Yup. I'd have to take my car up to WA to get smogged in order to renew, so it's CA plate time. I think I can register my car at AAA which is supposedly much more efficient than the DMV (even though the DMV seemed pretty efficient for the DL).

 

Jeff, honestly, I was able to do everything (license, registration, title, and smog check) in about 3 hours at the DMV (smog check was within a 1/4 mile of the DMV) because I had an "appointment." Anyway, best of luck, man! Bring a wad of cash.

 

The DL here is quite cheap (granted my last few renewals have been for a CDL, which was always more). And I was in and out in 45 minutes.


The smog shop gave me a hard time because I had my airbox lid off. I had to run home and get it.
